The Gonstead System was founded by Dr. Clarence Selmer Gonstead (1898-1978) in the United States. He created the Gonstead 5-Step Analysis to thoroughly examine the spine and correct spinal issues using a hands-on approach only. The Gonstead System is a safe and effective method for correcting spinal dysfunction and restoring health. At Discover Chiropractic, our professionally trained Gonstead Chiropractors take your spinal health seriously. VISUALIZATION

Your chiropractor is an expert in looking for subtle changes in your posture and movement which could be indicative of any problems.

INSTRUMENTATION

The Nervoscope, a heat detection
device is used to detect any uneven distributions of heat along the spine which can be indicative of inflammation and nerve pressure.

STATIC PALPATION

The process of feeling (or palpate) your spine in a non-moving position. Your chiropractor will feel for the presence of swelling (or edema),
tenderness and any abnormal texture or tightness in the muscles and other tissue of your back.

MOTION PALPATION

This process involves feeling the movement of the spines in different angles. It enables the chiropractor to determine how easily or difficult each segment in your spine moves in different directions.

X-RAY

X ray enables your chiropractor to visualize the entire structure of your spine. This is helpful in evaluating for any disease processes, fracture, posture, joint and disc integrity and spinal misalignment.
